Full Job Description:
Freson Market Ltd/Freson Bros. – High Prairie, Alberta seek a qualified Retail Store Supervisor
Terms: Permanent, full time employment, Shift Work, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Wage: $20.00 per hour, 40 hours per week, benefits provided (for full time employees)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: 5032 – 53 Avenue, High Prairie, Alberta T0G 1E0
Education: Completion of secondary school
Experience: 2 – 3 years in sales in a retail store
Work setting: Retail food store
Language: English
Vacancy: 1
Specific Tasks:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of department staff and cashiers
- Establish work schedule and assign department staff to duties
- Resolve department operations or customer service issues that may arise
- Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise
- Prepare reports on department operations based on quality, service, cleanliness, merchandising and staffing performance
- Assist in interviewing and selection of department staff
- May perform the same duties as workers supervised
- May perform key holding and managerial duties if required, such as opening and closing the store, addressing escalated complaints.
- Train staff on job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
