The Role:
 

Tiree is currently seeking a Commissioning Agent to provide project management support services on large, complex real property projects. You will maintain overall responsibility for representing the client in the commissioning process, oversee all commissioning activities including post construction stages of each project, and assure all project issues are addressed.
 

You'll provide valuable advice and guidance on the best ways to approach complex projects, leveraging your expertise to ensure successful outcomes. With your technical expertise and leadership skills, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our clients' projects are planned and scoped well from a technical perspective by reviewing and approving all documentation at all stages of the project delivery.


What you’ll do:

  • Provide guidance: on execution of standard building commissioning processes for new and existing construction and performing design reviews for commissioning related activities.
  • Scopes of work: to include a variety of building components including O&M manuals for all systems, building management plan, as-built drawings (architectural, structural, fire protection, mechanical, electrical), heating and cooling, systems manuals, WHMIS, etc.
  • Coordinating the teams: attend all project meetings to ensure all stakeholders are consistently aligned, personnel are assigned correctly, and issues are discussed and resolved in a prompt manner.
  • Managing project stakeholders: work and engage with various project stakeholders as directed by the Senior Project Manager/client. Follow established communication protocols to ensure all project stakeholders receive relevant information required for accurate progress monitoring and decision making.


What you’ll bring:

  • A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering or Construction-related field.
  • A desire to develop knowledge, skills and abilities in the trade, and advance in a career in the commissioning industry.
  • Public sector project experience.
  • Desire to attain Cx, controls and/or TAB certifications.
  • 5+ years of hands-on systems commissioning experience for facilities construction projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC and building systems to evaluate and test the performance of these systems.
  • Certified Building Commissioning Profession (CBCP) or Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) a strong asset.
  • Excellent listening and critical thinking skills, sound judgement.
  • Exemplary organizational and strategic thinking skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project, and technical issues.
  • Existing enhanced reliability or secret clearance required.
