Role Summary:
As an Accounts Payable Coordinator at CCRM, you will support accounting operations and funding management. Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the successful candidate will be a motivated, organized individual, who is knowledgeable in accounting processes, able to execute day-to-day accounting transactions, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with various administrative duties. The successful candidate will join a talented team that is helping to shape the future by commercializing life-saving advances in cell and gene therapy and regenerative medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices in Dynamics Great Plains or other accounting systems, while ensuring accuracy of general ledger (GL) coding.
- Respond to vendor inquiries as required.
- Process employee expense reports in Concur or MS Excel.
- Prepare bi-weekly cheques and electronic payments.
- Assist with vendor maintenance and item set-up in the accounting system.
- Assist with the preparation of month-end accruals.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts regularly.
- Assist with accounts receivable duties, including issuance of sales invoices to customers and following up on collections of outstanding amounts owing, on an as-needed basis.
- File/archive documents and assist with ad-hoc administrative duties.
Qualifications:
- College diploma in business or accounting discipline required; undergraduate degree preferred
- 3+ years of accounts payable processing experience
- 1+ years of experience using Dynamics Great Plains
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
