Production Planning Reporting - Continuous Improvement Analyst

Job Summary
 

Supporting the operational success of the Ippolito Fruit & Produce division & companies, the Continuous Process Improvement Analyst position is responsible for creating, improving and interpreting analytical data. A key function of this role is summarizing the data gathered into useful reports, identifying trends and making recommendations for continuous process improvements.

Job Responsibilities
 

· Gather and collect data from different areas on the production floor to support continuous process improvements

· Summarize the data gathered into useful reports, identifying trends (planned and unplanned) and make recommendations

· Able to understand manufacturing processes and write standard operating procedures (SOPs)

· Continue to build and develop a data-driven strategy and culture that encompasses use of data analytics platform to transform large sets of data and produce meaningful and actionable insights

· Develop new or improve existing processes to enhance profitability or efficiency of different work areas

· Develop Value Stream Mapping as required

· Maintain a positive and proactive relationship with key areas such as Sales, Production, Distribution, and Transportation.

· Other duties as assigned by COO

Education and Experience
 

· Minimum 2 years of Lean, Continuous improvement experience, six sigma is preferred but not required

· Auto CAD experience is required

· Industrial Engineering Degree/Certificate an asset

· Experience working in GMP and/or HACCP run facilities is an asset

· Food Safety and Internal Audit process understanding

· Experience in a support role and operations in a complex information systems environment

· Advanced excel skills

· Require strong excel (advanced) and data analysis skills

· Excellent analytical thinking, problem solving and trouble shooting skills

· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

· Strong organizational skills, demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to multi-task and prioritize.

· Previous working experience in a manufacturing/ Production environment

· Able to interact with shop floor workers and other departments in a respectful and effective manner

· Demonstrated strong project management skills

Key Relationships
 

· Internally this position interacts closely with Ippolito Fruit & Produce sales, Production; Distribution; Sales, Accounting, Human Resources, and transportation.

Working Conditions
 

The Continuous Process Improvement Analyst sits at a desk but is expected to be on the Production floor to obtain key data daily. Mental stress is relative to meeting deadlines and objectives.
