Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Fire Suppression Team in Oakville, ON.
Your role will include diverse maintenance and repair & maintenance of Fire Suppression Systems and Equipment. While this position is based out of our Oakville branch, there will be remote service requirements at customer locations in the Southern Ontario area.
Your role will include diverse maintenance and repair activities including:
- Inspecting, repairing, and providing maintenance of Fire Suppression systems as well as other Fire Suppression equipment at various customer sites
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions to service related problems.
- Performing site-specific training for owners and end-users
- Being the Face of Levitt-Safety for our customers and their onsite safety needs

Qualifications:
- Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent hands-on role with vehicles or other motorized equipment
- Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude with experience working with power and hand tools
- Experience, education, or training & working with fire protection and/or suppression systems is a strong asset
- A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to work with technology and mobile devices
Physical Safety Requirements
This is a physically demanding and safety-sensitive role involving various types of equipment and work environments. As such the following are core requirements for this role:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, coupled with good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physically able to work in restricted or confined workspaces, including using ladders and walkways on large equipment
- Able to pass pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol testing as well as criminal background checks
