The Opportunity:
MCW is currently looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join our Vancouver office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to apply their skills and knowledge and to develop their professional career. Please note that this is a full-time permanent onsite position.
What you will get up to:
- Support the design team(s) in managing design files and documentation, ensuring timely client responses and organized record-keeping.
- Support our design team(s) in developing and editing project specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant codes and standards.
- Work with our Construction Administration team to help manage all construction-related records, ensuring timely responses and organized record-keeping.
- Perform typing and proofreading including the preparation of letters, memos, minutes and reports.
- Manage and post project documentation on Contractor sites (i.e.. Procore), maintaining current and accurate information.
- Assist the design team in preparing schedules and drawings for signing and sealing, ensuring proper formatting and compliance with requirements.
- Print drawings, coordinate delivery to clients, and arrange couriers as needed, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of project documentation.
- General administrative duties including data entry, filing, copying, pdf’ing, couriers, etc.
- Maintain and organize the electronic filing systems to ensure business and operational reports, forms, and other business documentation are readily available.
- Maintain a professional image and demeanor with all employees, management, executives and visitors at all times.
- Ensure quality, completeness and co-ordination of your work.
- Overtime as required when authorized by your Manager.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:
Qualifications, Experience and Education:
· A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role, preferably within the engineering, construction or consulting industry.
· Proficiency in specification writing and knowledge of industry-standard specifications is considered an asset.
· Familiarity with construction administration processes and documentation is considered an asset.
· Familiarity with CAD and/or BIM software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks) is an asset.
Required Skills:
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop positive business relationships with management, coworkers and external contacts.
· Must possess strong technical skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at an intermediate level.
· Ability to adhere to task-related procedures and standards and demonstrate flexibility in handling heavy workload.
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while being able to meet deadlines.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
· Knowledge of project management software (such as Microsoft Project, Procore, or Smartsheet) is an asset.
