Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Performs and supervises audits of mechanical and electrical building systems to identify facility improvement measures and/or opportunities.
  • Conducts and oversees facility site visits, analyzes current situation and produces facility improvement measure plans.
  • Coordinates and communicates with outside consultants and/or contractors.
  • Leads or assists in the development of preliminary and final performance contracting proposals
  • Utilizes various software's to develop building models which assist in determining energy savings.
  • Responsible for measure design and development through creation of documentation including accurate descriptions, savings potential, and cost estimates
  • Develop tender documents and design packages which include drawings, specifications and sequences of operations
  • Work with internal project team members in support of project implementation 
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations
  • Liaise with product sales personnel and implementation contractors to confirm product selections, performance and costing
  • Conduct field reviews of installed systems
  • Carries out commissioning of installed systems to ensure proper operation of building mechanical equipment related to heating, cooling and air conditioning. 
  • Travel to client sites is required from time to time to perform audits and attend client meetings. Building sites may require day travel (Toronto and surrounding area), or longer travel stays ranging in duration from multiple days located around the province or in other provinces.

Experience Required

  • Experience leading and directing other technical staff members
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate and work well with other team members and clients and manage expectations
  • Excellent time management and coordination skills

  • Ability to follow health and safety protocol and assess potential safety issues at site
