Ministry Overview

The Finance team provides expert financial advice and services in all accounting and financial matters to the organization. We celebrate excellence as we support over 11 ministries and other operations departments within P2C. The finance team ensures that proper accountability, financial integrity, resources optimization, internal controls and compliance have been achieved all the time across the organization.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position is responsible for ensuring accurate recording and completeness of financial information into the Financial reporting system, financial analysis, assisting in the development and execution of procedures and internal control policies to ensure accurate and timely financial statements periodically.

About the Role
This role will be accountable to achieve the following outcomes:
    •    Financial reporting, analysis and internal control functions
    •    Posting of daily bank transactions into the ERP and monthly GL reconciliations
    •    Review and posting of irregular bank transactions and PAD payments
    •    Posting and reconciling all the E-commerce payment platforms with the bank accounts
    •    Processing, reviewing  and posting of staff and ministry daily internal transfers
    •    Accurate and complete ledgers are reconciled monthly and quarterly
    •    Supervise the Accounts Payable accounting and weekly payment run is done timely and accurately
    •    Acts as a back-up for the accounts payable staff
    •    Month-end and year-end closing reports are completed
    •    Year-end closing and preparation of schedules requested on PBC by the External Auditors
    •    Accurate financial status information reports are generated for the Ministries
    •    Other support duties as assigned

About You
    •    You have a deep, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ

    •    You possess a positive attitude to work and learning 
    •    You have excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    •    You are proficient in Google Suite or equivalent 
    •    You are personally organized, good steward of time 
    •    You have used Accounting software with accounting data entry experience 
    •    You are intellectually curious, exhibited strong skills in problem-solving, comfortable in asking questions, investigating, research

Education and Experience
    •    Minimum 5 years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience 
    •    Completion of undergraduate degree majoring in Accounting or working towards an Accounting designation 
    •    Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar program considered an asset
    •    Advance to intermediate skills with Google spreadsheet and Excel
