The Christian Embassy of Canada (CE) offers connection and inspiration for political, diplomatic and business leaders who are open to learning more about Jesus. Position Overview

This position provides administrative, technical and event management support to the ministry of the CE. As a point of contact for many political leaders and influential people, the successful candidate must communicate with excellence and project a professional image through in-person, phone and email interactions in English. 

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following objectives:

Administrative (55%)

  • Managing incoming and outgoing external communications
  • Maintaining Executive Director’s calendar and scheduling appointments
  • Ordering office supplies and researching new suppliers
  • Updating and maintaining office procedures
  • Updating and maintaining FileMaker database
  • Producing reports and invitation lists
  • Assisting with other duties or special projects as assigned by the Christian Embassy team

Relationship Building (15%)

  • Creating a first favourable contact and rapport with the Christian Embassy, helping peers to discover God’s love through our interactions (phone, email, in person)
  • Opening doors for future communications, beginning relationships of trust by setting up meetings, responding to invitations and initiating opportunities

Outreach (25%)

  • Collaborating with the team in organising and facilitating excellent outreach events
  • Coordinating volunteers and responsibilities for events
  • Planning seating arrangements and overseeing receiving table for plated luncheons/dinners 
  • Assisting in collecting and producing video and audio recordings from events
  • Planning, facilitating and ensuring execution of audio/visual for events

Training & Engagement (5%)  

  • Inspiring and equipping volunteers to influence those in their spheres for Christ
  • Encouraging volunteers to participate in outreaches in Canada and around the world

About You

  • You have a deep, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • You have a genuine desire to see people’s lives transformed by Jesus.
  • You communicate professionally in English (written and verbal). 
  • You have proven strong administrative and organisational skills and you are detail-oriented.
  • You initiate and persevere in developing trusted relationships with wisdom and humility, connecting with leaders and assistants from diverse cultures and political perspectives.
  • You have the ability to work independently and collaboratively, blending personal skills and expertise with input from team members.
  • You possess strong technological skills and are proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and FileMaker (or their equivalents).
  • You have experience in event and project management.

Education and Experience

  • Completed a post-secondary degree and office or related experience
  • Fluency in French (written and spoken) is preferred
  • International or cross-cultural ministry experience is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of international protocol is considered an asset
