This remote position is responsible for providing finance claim support to our insured pet parents in a manner that promotes efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for gathering, processing and evaluating documents, data input, and processing work items in a timely manner as required.
This is a 6-month contract. Job Location: Remote work is not available in AK, MT, HI (US) and Quebec, Nunavut, NW Territories, Yukon (Canada)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify the file sent to the bank for ACH Claim payments match our records
  • Release claims so that customers will receive claim reimbursements. Make edits if a ticket is received from another department such as PT&D and Claims
  • Run daily and monthly reports from JP Morgan and AMEX
  • Make entries into SAGE
  • Adjust ACH Prem Returns and Chargebacks received and send email for ACH Clearance date and LCD updates
  • Dispute Chargebacks received by the bank if necessary
  • Complete Unapplied Payment Report
  • Reissue claim reimbursement checks
  • Complete the Claims and Premium Reconciliation; Copy over report from bank and save the appropriate files
  • Complete ACH Claim Returns
  • Complete NOC updates received from the bank
  • Save letters received for Outstanding reimbursement checks (Abandoned Property)
  • Adjust Claim Overpayments if needed
  • Apply checks received if applicable
  • Complete SN tickets received and finance help desk emails
  • Complete Premium Refund Check requests and complete reconciliation

Required Qualifications (Certifications, Licenses, Software Programs, KSA’s):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with MS Excel
  • Experience with reconciliation preferred
  • College Degree preferred

Work Requirements:

  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must be highly motivated and able to accept changing priorities with a minimum of disruption
  • Strong problem solving, independent decision-making, reporting and analytical skills
  • Must possess ability to analyze complex financial data
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate with others to identify and resolve issues
