Position Summary:
The Sr. AEM Developer is primarily responsible for the development, implementation, integration and deploys digital consumer experiences based on the AEM product suite of Pethealth’s North American brand websites. The successful candidate will closely work with the MarTech, IT and Marketing teams. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, is a self-learner, is resourceful, and can work independently. The work done in this role will implement AEM coding best practices, performance, and scalability of the DXP and content delivery solution.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work alongside architects, developers, QA, UX/UI visual designers, and product owners
- Develop, implement, integrate and deploy digital consumer experiences based on the foundation of the AEM product suite, including Sites and Assets.
- Create and integrate content-driven applications on top of the AEM core platform by leveraging OSGI services
- Hand coding rich pages in HTML5. CSS(SASS/LESS), ReactJS and JavaScript
- Hands on experience with Java, Maven, OSGI, Sling Models, Servlets, Dispatcher, Components and Services
- Review codes developed by junior developers and provide best practices to maintain a scalable front-end and back-end code repo
- Work with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) Cloud
- Create events and listeners on content and interaction to produce meaningful reporting (Google Analytics, Adobe Marketing Suite, and other conversion tags)
- Deliver a scalable front-end AEM solution for both short-term and long-term business use cases
- Work alongside technical and non-technical team members to implement and maintain DAM, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, and Adobe Target
- Deliver products and apps that are based on pre-existing wireframes, designs, or other client requirements
- Markup and script interfaces on AEM Cloud, to create responsive websites/systems that work flawlessly on desktop, tablet, phone, and other devices
- Work alongside Digital SEO team to implement Technical SEO elements on the website for SEO optimization.
- Review and manage codes of Junior Developers
- Provide developers guidance on best practices and industry standards.
- Coach and mentor junior developers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 7+ years building sites using: Java, Maven, OSGI bundles, Sling Servlets, HTML5, CSS3, Sass CSS, Less CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Typescript and ReactJS
- 6+ years’ experience maintaining and administering AEM sites
- AEM Certified
- 6+ years’ experience with creating designs systems, and Clientlibs architecture in AEM
- Experience utilizing BitBucket, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence
- Knowledge of Design Patterns and Good Practices to design and develop quality clean code
- Expert knowledge of web accessibility, performance, and security
- Java testing and logging frameworks
- Understanding of all web layers (CDN, Load Balancers)
- Understanding of the overall AEM Architecture
- Understanding of SEO best practices
