RAM is a technical consultancy providing Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Castlegar, BC. The successful candidate will be an individual that enjoys a challenging, professional, and dynamic workplace and contributing to the success of a hardworking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Transmission Engineers on, and take responsibility for less critical Transmission projects including:
- Review of Transmission Condition Assessment Data;
- Creation of Condition Assessment Report and Estimate;
- Design and development of IFC packages for Transmission Rehab projects;
- Update PLCADD transmission line models;
- Design and analysis of transmission lines using PLSCADD;
- Development of Line Impedance and Line Rating reports and drawings;
- Technical reviews for proposed development within transmission rights of way;
- Transmission related Engineering Investigation Reports (EIRs);
- Construction support;
- Operations support; and
- Development and update of Transmission standards, including research into materials;
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required;
- 2+ years experience as a Electrical Profesionnal Engineer registered with EGBC;
- Ability to balance and prioritize the interests of numerous stakeholders and multiple issues;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively collaborate with team members, prepare technical reports, and interact with stakeholders;
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements is important;
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines are necessary for successful project execution; and
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships;
