RAM is a technical consultancy providing Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will be an individual that enjoys a challenging, professional, and dynamic workplace and contributing to the success of a hardworking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall execution of the RAM CM contract.
- Identify, define, and coordinate the various processes and activities that are essential to Project completion, successfully managing stakeholder expectations, and meeting the requirements of the RAM CM contract.
- Manage the Project scope to ensure all the work required is completed successfully.
- Ensure the timely acquisition, development and management of the Project Team.
- Mange the overall financial and technical aspects of the project including ensuring that the Technical Services Manager is performing their duties as outlined in the RAM CM contract and Project Execution Plan.
- Ensure, through the Technical Services Manager and Procurement Specialist that the equipment, materials and services are procured in accordance with the RAM CM contract and Project Execution Plan, on acceptable commercial terms, in compliance with the technical specifications and delivered in time to support the Project schedule.
- Oversee Project safety, including ensuring the HSE director and managers are reporting and handling incidents according the project HSE plan.
- Oversee Quality assurance of the project including ensuring the Quality director and Quality managers are performing their duties according the Project Quality Plan.
- Oversee Project construction management, ensuring that the Area Managers and Site Construction Manager are performing their duties according to the RAM CM contract and Project Execution Plan.
- Review and provide input to the Monthly Report as required.
- Communicate with RAM management regarding Project progress, cost, timeliness and manpower utilization.
Other
- Help grow RAM’s revenue by actively taking part in Business Development opportunities and promoting RAM services.
- Lead and participate in RFP processes for various opportunities.
- Participate in or manage company staff working on specific projects in construction and project management roles.
- Hold and participate in company strategy meetings.
- Act as the key contact on projects with clients, stakeholders, sub-consultants, contractors and support staff.
- Develop project schedules and coordinating resources as well as monitor budget and progress on projects.
- Chair and attend project and site meetings and communicate directly with clients, maintaining a respectful and professional working relationship.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Registered as a P.Eng with EGBC.
- 12+ Years’ Experience working in a Construction Management capacity on Canadian infrastructure projects.
- Experience estimating on local civil construction projects.
- Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software.
- Familiarity with Primavera.
- Proven experience writing proposals for EPCM and EPC type projects.
- Experience managing and growing a team of 10+ people.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Pleasant, calm demeanor and customer-service oriented.
- Strong work ethic, ability to use tact and good professional judgement.
