Coastal - Engineering Intern

We are seeking an Engineering Intern for our Collingwood office as part of our Coastal department. This position is responsible for assisting with the design and implementation of coastal, water resources, municipal infrastructure and land development projects, involving shoreline protection structures, stormwater management facilities, site servicing, lot grading, storm and sanitary sewers, watermains, rural and urban roads and parking lots. Work will include field investigations, shoreline and riverine hazard analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, drainage and stormwater management designs, subdivision and site plan design, cost estimating, tender preparation, construction inspection and contract administration.
Key Position Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of related engineering experience
- Experience with technical modeling software (OTTHYMO, PCSWMM and HEC-RAS)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Experience with business development is an asset
- Ability to prioritize and schedule multiple tasks and timelines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
