Buildings - Engineering Intern/Engineer

We are seeking either an Engineer or Engineering Intern for our Buildings department in our Orillia or Bracebridge office.
Tatham’s portfolio of Buildings projects includes new multi-unit commercial, multi-story residential, industrial, and municipal buildings, custom homes, cottages, boathouses on pile foundations, and public infrastructure such as docks, wharves, retaining walls, water treatment/processing facilities, and other municipal infrastructure. The variety of work provides challenges for the candidate to advance their skills and practical experience in a collaborative environment.
This position is responsible for conducting engineering investigations and preparing reports, completing structural engineering calculations for the design of new structures or evaluation and modification of existing structures, assisting with preliminary and final design as well as assisting with contract administration and construction review.
Key Position Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Engineering Intern: minimum of 1 year of related engineering experience
- Engineer: P.Eng. in the Province of Ontario with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering environment
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent technical and analytical skills
- Enthusiasm to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and work independently under limited supervision
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
