Front Office PM Lead
Brookstreet Hotel, Ottawa’s premier hospitality destination, is seeking an experienced Guest Service Partner to join our team. As a Brookstreet Partner, you will have the opportunity to provide sensational service that goes beyond the typical hotel chain experience.
POSITION DETAILS:
Pay: Full Time Hourly
Benefits: Medical and Dental after 6 months
Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 6pm - 2am
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory/management experience in Front Office operations, Hotel, or Night Auditor experience
• Diploma in Hotel Management an asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and computerized Front Office systems (Opera Cloud)
• Experience with cash/float handling
• A proven track record of developing and motivating career-minded staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Highly organized, results-oriented, flexible and work well under pressure
• Smart Serve certification (Manager on Duty requirement)
• Bilingualism in both official languages (French/English) is an asset
JOB PROFILE:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Guest Services PM Lead is accountable for ensuring the highest level of guest service and ensuring that standards are maintained for all positions within Guest Services. The successful candidate will also serve as a resource to the overall operations of the hotel by providing assistance and direction as needed.
The successful candidate will:
• Help coordinate Guest Services, Night Audit and Star Service Partners while on duty to ensure a smooth operation and the highest level of Guest satisfaction
• Maintain a high level of professionalism in all aspects of job performance
• Seek feedback on Guest satisfaction and resolve problems in accordance with Brookstreet Hotel SOP’s and philosophy of partner empowerment
• Train all new Partners joining the Night Audit Team
• Coordinate the PM Shift and the Night Audit shift with daily briefing
• Stay abreast of arrival reports and VIPs to ensure all special requirements are met or exceeded
• Know all emergency procedures and general crisis management, including fire and emergency procedures, ensuring Guest safety is followed by all hotel staff
• Perform Manager on Duty Role
• Maintain Guest Service standards
• Effectively maximize inventory levels during high occupancy/sold out nights
• Consistently demonstrate Guest Service excellence and profitability through special duties as assigned
• Uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
• Balance end of day reports
• Prepare work stations and white boards for the next business day
