Now hiring a part-time Training Consultant (Contract)

 

 

Position Summary:

The Training Consultant will support the design, development, and facilitation of various Leadership in-house training courses for Flanagan Foodservice to achieve established goals.  As a true people person, the creative incumbent will work as a dependable partner to apply adult learning best practices to complete deliverables in a timely manner. Using a collaborative and supportive approach, this role will assist in Leadership development for new and existing front line leaders to make a positive impact on the business during transformative operational changes.  This is a part-time contract role with irregular hours, with travel to deliver training sessions in Whitby and Sudbury locations as required.


 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to design, develop and facilitate training material for new and existing front line leaders.
  • Conduct training sessions and evaluate participants' progress
  • Seek out the opportunities for improving practices. May provide coaching to participants post training event.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to create and maintain robust on-boarding training for new employees
  • Partner with other team members to develop strong, innovative, and technology-enhanced courses and programs
  • Maintain results and be able to collaborate to ensure outcomes are on track to meet business needs
  • Deliver information in an open and collaborative approach to assist in Leadership development for new and existing front line leaders at a time that the business is undergoing transformative operational changes

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with learning/training and development required
  • Instructional design and knowledge of adult education and instructional theories preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Comfortable presenting and facilitating sessions, adapting to the audience and various learnings styles
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in English
  • Creative out-of-the-box mindset and strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop entry-level courses for a variety of audiences
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required
  • Ability to work independently to create training and presentation materials, schedule and conduct training sessions with leaders
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and provide positive solutions when faced with adversity
  • Class G Driver’s license and personal vehicle for regional travel required
